John Belushi

comedian, writer
Born: 1/24/1949
Birthplace: Chicago

Emmy Award-winning television and film comedian and writer best remembered for his offbeat, outrageous wit. He was one of the original cast members of Saturday Night Live (1975–79), appearing in skits featuring the Samurai warrior, the Blues Brothers and the bees. His films include Animal House (1978) and The Blues Brothers (1980). He died of a heroin overdose. His brother is actor James Belushi.
