Buster Baxter,

animated bunny and star of the PBS show Postcards from Buster, created a stir when he was criticized in January by Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings because an episode of the show included a lesbian couple. “Many parents would not want their young children exposed to the lifestyles portrayed in the episode,” Spellings wrote to PBS. As a result of the controversy, PBS did not distribute the episode, primarily about maple sugaring in Vermont, to its stations.
