John Ritter

Age: 54

actor who played the quirky ladies' man Jack Tripper on television's Three's Company. Ritter won an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award for the role. He also starred in ABC's current hit, 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter, and he appeared in the film Sling Blade. He died of an aortic dissection.

Died: Burbank, Calif., Sept. 11, 2003
