Serena Williams,

professional tennis player, won her first Wimbledon Tournament in July, defeating her older sister, Venus, 7–6, 6–3. The tide may be turning for Serena, who also prevailed over Venus in June's French Open. Venus had won five out of the eight pairings between the sisters. Venus was defending Wimbledon champ, having won in 2002 and 2001.
