César Milstein

Argentine-born immunologist who, with Niels K. Jerne and Georges J. F. Köhler, won the 1984 Nobel Prize in Medicine for their work in the “development and control of the immune system and the discovery of the principle for production of monoclonal antibodies.”

Died: Cambridge, England, March 24, 2002
