Jim Coleman

Age: 89

colorful writer whose career as one of Canada's best-known sportswriters spanned nearly 70 years; most recently a columnist at the Vancouver Province; wrote two books about horse racing and one about hockey. He died of heart failure after being treated for a broken hip.
