Boris Goldovsky

Age: 92

opera impresario, conductor, pianist, and lecturer, who was best known for his commentary during the Saturday afternoon radio broadcasts of the Metropolitan Opera, from 1943 until 1990. In 1946 he established the New England Opera Theater, later the Goldovsky Opera Theater, which closed in 1984.

Died: Brookline, Mass., Feb. 15, 2001
