Millicent Carey McIntosh Age: 102
educator and feminist who achieved icon status when she became the first married woman to serve as president of a top college. She was appointed president of Barnard College in 1952, following a five-year stint as dean of the school. McIntosh served as a role model for millions of women, as she skillfully juggled career and family. Died: Tyringham, Mass., Dec. 27, 2000
