Robert Ludlum

suspense novelist whose fast-paced books about spies and international conspiracies have sold more than 290 million copies and have been translated into 32 languages. Ludlum began his career as an actor and turned to writing at age 42. His books include Scarlatti Inheritance and The Bourne Identity.
