Dr. Laura Schlessinger, conservative radio-show host and author known for her antigay ideology, incited a series of angry protests when Paramount TV announced in Jan. plans to bring her popular self-help show to television as a syndicated series. She has called homosexuals a “biological error” and “sexual deviants,” and referred to gay men as “predatory on young boys.” In March and again in Oct., she apologized for her defamatory statements, although she stopped well short of supporting homosexual lifestyles.
