Andre Agassi,

29, professional tennis player, made the comeback of his life in June when he won the French Open. The win made him the first American in 61 years to win all four majors. He went on to garner the U.S. Open in September. In 1997, the same year he married actress Brooke Shields, Agassi's ranking dropped to 141. The couple separated in early 1999.
