Alexandra Stevenson,

18, professional tennis player, shocked the tennis world when she became the first qualifying player to advance to the semifinals at Wimbledon. But the real surprise came when basketball hall-of-famer Julius Erving acknowledged that he is Stevenson's father. Stevenson's mother, freelance sports journalist Samantha Stevenson raised her daughter alone, with financial support from Erving.
