SELENE (SELenological and ENgineering Explorer) (Japan)

Destination: The Moon. Launch: 2007. Mission: To study the origin and evolution of the Moon, orbiting it for one year. It will map the entire surface and gather data on chemical and mineralogical composition, magnetic fields, and interior structure.
