Phil Hartman

Age: 49

Emmy award-winning actor best known for his spot-on comedic performances on the sketch comedy television show Saturday Night Live. He was most convincing in his skits parodying President Clinton. In 1995, he moved to prime time, playing an acerbic newscaster on NBC's comedy NewsRadio. He also provided the voice of several The Simpsons's characters. His films include Sgt. Bilko and Jingle All the Way. Hartman was shot to death by his wife who turned the gun on herself.

Died: May 28, 1998.
