Stiklestad

Stiklestad (stĭˈkləstäˌ) [key], village, Nord-Trøndelag co., central Norway, on the Trondheimsfjord. In a battle there in 1030, Olaf II (St. Olaf) was slain in an attempt to regain the crown of Norway.
