Sankt PöltenSankt Pölten (zängkt pölˈtən) [key], city (1991 pop. 50,026), Lower Austria prov., N central Austria. It is an industrial center and rail junction. Manufactures include chemicals, office furniture, hosiery, machinery, textiles, and paper.
