Holon (hōlônˈ) [key], city (1994 pop. 163,700), W central Israel. Manufactures include textiles, metal and leather goods, processed foods, furniture, glassware, plastics, and construction materials. Holon was founded in 1940 with the merger of several residential neighborhoods.
