Avacha (əväˈchə) [key] or Avachinskaya Sopka əväˈchĭnskĪə sôpˈkə, active volcano, 8,965 ft (2,733 m) high, Russian Far East, on S Kamchatka peninsula. It has a permanent snow cap.
