Meg Tilly (Margaret Tilly)

Birthplace: Texada Island, British Columbia
Tilly first trained as a dancer and made a brief appearance as such in the film Fame (1980). She rose to fame herself as the bereaved girlfriend in The Big Chill (1983). Tilly earned a Golden Globe Award and an Oscar nomination for the title role in Agnes of God (1985). She has appeared in Psycho II (1983), Valmont (1989), The Two Jakes (1990), Leaving Normal (1992), and The Body Snatchers (1993). She also wrote a promising first novel Singing Songs in 1994. Her sister Jennifer Tilly is also an actress.
