William Butler Yeats poet Born: 6/13/1865 Birthplace: Dublin, Ireland
Nobel Prize-winning Anglo-Irish poet whose work interweaves mysticism, Irish history, love, and self-analysis. Yeat's books include The Rose (1893), The Wind Among the Reeds (1899), Responsibilities (1914), and The Tower (1928). He also wrote essays and plays, was active in the Irish National Theatre and served as an Irish senator.
