EncyclopediaVitimVitim (vētyēm') [key], river, c.1,140 mi (1,830 km) long, rising in the Transbaykalian Mts., E Siberian Russia, in the Buryat Republic, and flowing S, NE, then N into the Lena River at Vitim.
