Noto

Noto (nō'tō) [key], peninsula, c.45 mi (70 km) long and from 6 to 17 mi (9.6–27 km) wide, Ishikawa prefecture, W central Honshu, Japan, between the Sea of Japan and Toyama Bay. The rugged peninsula has a deeply indented east coast. Farming, lumbering, and fishing are major economic activities.
