Jabesh-gilead

Jabesh-gilead (jā'besh-gil'ēăd) [key], in the Bible, city of Gilead. After the affair at Gibeah, wives were provided for the Benjamites by sacking Jabesh. Later, Saul saved Jabesh, and at his death the grateful city buried him.
