Dunash ben Labrat

Dunash ben Labrat (dOO'näsh ben lä'brät) [key], 92090, Hebrew grammarian and poet, b. Fès. He was also called Rabbi Adonim Halevy (ha-Levi). He wrote an exhaustive criticism of Menahem's Hebrew lexicon, adding to and correcting it, and was the first to adapt the Arabic meter to Hebrew poetry.
