Arias Montanus, Benedictus

Arias Montanus, Benedictus (benudik'tus ā'rēus montā'nus) [key], or Benito Arias Montano (bānē'tō ä'ryäs mōntä'nō) [key], 1527–98, Spanish Benedictine monk, editor of the Antwerp Polyglot Bible. He attended the Council of Trent (1562).
