RISENHOOVER, Theodore
Marshall, a Representative from Oklahoma; born in East
Liberty near Stigler, Haskell County, Okla., November 3, 1934;
graduated from Stigler High School, Stigler, Okla.; attended the
University of Alabama, 1960-1961; B.A., Northeastern Oklahoma State
University, 1965; served in the United States Air Force, 1955-1963;
pursued career as newspaper publisher; in 1965 became part owner
and president of printing businesses in Tahlequah, Okla.; served as
Oklahoma crime commissioner, second district, 1970-1974; delegate,
Democratic National Mid-term Convention, 1974; elected as a
Democrat to the Ninety-fourth and to the Ninety-fifth Congresses
(January 3, 1975-January 3, 1979); unsuccessful candidate for
renomination in 1978 to the Ninety-sixth Congress; died on
September 10, 2006, in Claremore, Okla.
