McINNIS, Scott, a Representative from Colorado; born in Glenwood Springs, Garfield County, Colo., May 9, 1953; graduated from Glenwood Springs High School, Glenwood Springs, Colo.; attended Mesa College, Grand Junction, Colo.; B.A., Fort Lewis College, Durango, Colo., 1975; J.D., St. Mary’s University, San Antonio, Tex., 1980; police officer, Glenwood Springs, Colo.; hospital director; lawyer, private practice; member of the Colorado state house of representatives, 1983-1993; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Third and to the five succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1993-January 3, 2005); not a candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Ninth Congress in 2004; unsuccessful candidate for Republican nomination for governor of Colorado in 2010.
