LAGOMARSINO, Robert John, a Representative from California; born in Ventura, Ventura County, Calif., September 4, 1926; attended the public schools of Ventura ; B.A., University of California, Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara, Calif., 1950; J.D., University of Santa Clara Law School, Santa Clara, Calif., 1953; admitted to the California bar in 1954; lawyer, private practice; United States Navy, 1944-1946; member of the Ojai City, Calif., Council, 1958; mayor of Ojai, Calif., 1958-1961; member of the California state senate, by special election, 1961-1974; delegate, California state Republican conventions, 1961-1974; delegate, Republican National Convention, 1968 and 1984; elected as a Republican to the Ninety-third Congress, by special election, to fill the vacancy caused by the death of United States Representative Charles M. Teague, and reelected to the nine succeeding Congresses (March 5, 1974-January 3, 1993); unsuccessful candidate for renomination to the One Hundred Third Congress in 1992; is a resident of Ventura, Calif.
