KREBS, Paul Joseph, a
Representative from New Jersey; born in New York, N.Y., May 26,
1912; attended high school; professional advocate; president, New
Jersey State Congress of Industrial Organizations, 1954-1961;
president, New Jersey United Auto Workers Council, 1961-1965;
member, executive committee, Essex County, N.J., Democratic
Committee, 1958-1970; elected as a Democrat to the Eighty-ninth
Congress (January 3, 1965-January 3, 1967); was not a candidate for
reelection to the Ninetieth Congress in 1966; director, New Jersey
State Office of Consumer Protection, 1967-1970; unsuccessful
candidate for election to the United States Senate in 1972; died on
September 17, 1996, in Hallandale, Fla.
