DONOHUE, Harold Daniel, a
Representative from Massachusetts; born in Worcester, Worcester
County, Mass., June 18, 1901; graduated from St. John Preparatory
School, Worcester, Mass., 1920; graduated from Northeastern
University School of Law, Worcester, Mass., 1925; lawyer, private
practice; councilman and alderman of Worcester, Mass., 1927-1935;
United States Navy, 1942-1945; elected as a Democrat to the
Eightieth and to the thirteen succeeding Congresses (January 3,
1947-December 31, 1974); was not a candidate for reelection to the
Ninety-fourth Congress in 1974; died on November 4, 1984, in
Worcester, Mass.; interment in St. John’s Cemetery,
Worcester, Mass.
