While he may have tried his hand at hair dressing, manual labor, and a career in music, John Corbett has certainly found his niche in acting, earning an Emmy nomination for his portrayal of Chris Stevens on the television series Northern Exposure in 1990. He has also stared alongside Nia Vardalos in the 2002 hit My Big Fat Greek Wedding and played the role of Carrie’s former fiancé on the popular HBO television series Sex and the City. In 2006 he won a Method Fest Best Supporting Actor award for his portrayal of an agoraphobic father in Dreamland. In April of 2006, Corbett released a country-flavored solo album on Fun Bone Records and he still lists music as his greatest passion.
