Daniel Dae KimKorean American actor Born: August 4, 1968 Birthplace: Pusan, South Korea
Born in Korea, Daniel Dae Kim moved to the United States with his
family when he was only two. He grew up in Pennsylvania and attended Bryn
Mawr, where he studied theater and political science. He later received
his M.F.A. from New York University. He has acted in a wide variety of
television shows (including "Seinfeld," "CSI" and "NYPD Blue") and movies
(such as "Spider Man 2" and "Crash"), as well as on stage. His current
role as Jin Kwon on ABC's top-rated series "Lost" earned him a 2006 Screen
Actors Guild Award and many new fans. Though his character on the show
speaks only Korean, in real life the actor is fluent only in
English.
