The Question:

Which are the Romance languages?

The Answer:

"Romance languages" is a term used to describe a group of languages that are derived from Latin. The name "romance" doesn't mean these languages are any more romantic than others. Rather it comes from the fact that Latin, their parent language, was spoken by the Romans.

Romance languages are spoken by about 670 million people all over the world. Among the more important Romance languages are French, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.
