- A week-long manhunt ends on Oct. 30, 2016, when suspect Michael Vance is killed in a shootout with police officers. Vance is the prime suspect in multiple violent crimes, including the murder of two relatives, the shooting of two police officers, and carjackings. Vance, age 38, is killed in Leeny, Oklahoma, by a state trooper who was forced to chase Vance for over a half an hour.
