On Nov. 14, 2016, a 7.8-magnitude earthquake hits central New Zealand, causing aftershocks—including a 6.2 quake—and triggering a tsunami. The earthquake destroys roads, buildings, bridges, and causes landslides. Along with infrastructure damage, the earthquake kills 2 people.
