Theresa May is the next prime minister of Britain from the Conservative Party. The news is announced July 11, 2016 as her competitor, Andrea Leadsom drops out of the race. May takes over from David Cameron, who is resigning in light of the recent Brexit vote. May has been home secretary for 6 years, and is known to be an inscrutable and competent worker. She was on the Remain side in the Brexit Vote and has announced that she will not be rushing into Article 50, which are formal exit talks for Britain.
