- In the early hours of Valentine's Day 2013, famous Olympic runner Oscar Pistorius shot four bullets through his bathroom door, killing his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp. In 2014, a court ruled that Pistorius was guilty of culpable homicide, but shortly after a higher court overturned that decision and now, on July 6, 2016, a murder conviction leads to a 6-year sentence for Oscar Pistorius.
