• Today's Weather Fact

    On this date in 1987, heavy, slow moving thunderstorms led to the flooding of the Guadalupe River in Texas. A bus and van from a summer youth camp broke down near the river outside of the town of Comfort. The surging waters swept the 43 occupants downstream killing ten of the them. The remaining victims were rescued, most of them from the tops of trees, by a helicopter rescue team.
