Today's Weather Fact...

On this date in 1982, the worst Louisiana rainstorm in a century mercifully came to a close. More than 18 inches of rain fell in some areas over three days. The widespread flooding caused damages in excess of $100 million and President Reagan designated 10 parishes in the northeastern part of the state as federal disaster areas.
