Too often today we turn on the television and hear a horror story about a shooting at school, drugs found in the schoolyard, or children being sexually assaulted by trusted adults. Sending your child to school seems much riskier today than it was 30 years ago.

School cases that made it to the Supreme Court seek to improve conditions. Issues include proper methods of punishment, drug testing, and sexual harassment. In addition, in recent years the Court has ruled a number of times on the topic of religion in the schools. Let's explore significant school cases that have made it all the way to the Supreme Court.
