Tiffany Haddish had been working in television and stand-up comedy for more than a decade when she suddenly made waves in 2017 for outshining her big-name co-stars in the bawdy comedy Girls Trip. Haddish was introduced to performing at a comedy camp for troubled teens in California, and found her calling. After years of stage performances and comedy contests, she began getting TV roles in 2005. Her first big break as a series regular came in 2014 -- one season of the Tyler Perry series If Loving You Is Wrong. Haddish left that for three seasons of the comedy The Carmichael Show. The box office hit Girls Trip starred Regina Hall, Queen Latifah and Jada Pinkett Smith, but it was Haddish who got the spotlight as a fresh new face in comedy. Also in 2017, Haddish hosted Saturday Night Live and that earned her an Emmy award for outstanding guest actress. That same year, the audio version of her memoir, The Last Black Unicorn, was nominated for a Grammy. Haddish's other films include Uncle Drew (2018), The Secret Life of Pets 2 (2019, starring Kevin Hart), Night School (2018, also with Hart), The Kitchen (2019, with Melissa McCarthy and Elisabeth Moss) and Like A Boss (2020, with Rose Byrne).
