Rita Ora is an Albanian-born singer from London whose 2012 debut album, Ora, included the top U.K. singles "R.I.P." and "How We Do (Party)" and "Shine Ya Light." She got her professional start singing in London pubs, and in 2009 was signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation label. By 2012, Ora was poised for commercial pop success. Since then, her career has been a celebrity juggernaut (notably more in the U.K. than in the U.S.). She's been in the movies -- including as the sister in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey -- and starred in videos; she's been on reality television (The X-Factor and The Voice); she's had endorsements and fashion deals; she even sang on an Oscar-nominated song ("Grateful" from 2014's Beyond the Lights). By 2015, she'd added screen credits and had more hits, including "Poison" and "Body on Me." Her film credits include Spivs (2004) and Southpaw (2015, starring Jake Gyllenhaal).
