Julia Garner is the blond, wide-eyed waif whose performance as a cult member in 2011's Martha Marcy May Marlene sent her on the path to indie-film stardom. She got that part at an open-casting audition when she was only 15 years old. The next year, she appeared in The Perks of Being A Wallflower (2012, starring Emma Watson) and, in the lead, Electrick Children (2012). Besides her indie film credits, she guest-starred as a vulnerable-but-wily teen in the TV series The Americans, and co-starred with Lily Tomlin in 2015's Grandma. Her other films include Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014, with Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and I Believe in Unicorns (2014).
