Donald Rumsfeld
Donald Rumsfeld married the former Joyce Pierson in 1954. The couple had three children: Valerie (b. 1956), Marcy (b. 1960), and Nicholas (b. 1967)… Donald Rumsfeld’s nickname was “Rummy,” presumably an abbreviated form of his surname… Donald Rumsfeld was one of the original members of the Project for the New American Century, a conservative foreign policy group created in 1997; the overthrow of Saddam Hussein in Iraq was one of the group’s longstanding goals. The group’s members were widely known as neoconservatives, or “neocons.” Other early PNAC members included future vice president Dick Cheney, former vice president Dan Quayle, and Florida governor Jeb Bush, the brother of George W. Bush.
