BYRNE Leslie Larkin , a Representative from Virginia; born in Salt Lake City, Utah, October 27, 1946; attended the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah; attended Mount Vernon College, Mount Vernon, Ohio; chair, Fairfax County Commission on Fair Campaign Practices, Fairfax, Va., 1978-1980; business executive; member of the Virginia state house of delegates, 1985-1992; elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Third Congress (January 3, 1993-January 3, 1995); unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Fourth Congress; unsuccessful candidate for nomination to the United States Senate in 1996; member of the Virginia state senate, 2000-2003; unsuccessful candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, 2005.
