Talented actor who stole the show, and walked away with the Best Supporting Actor Oscar, as the temperamental but passionate football player in Jerry Maguire (1996). Gooding had his breakthrough in Boyz 'N The Hood (1991), playing Tre Styles, a young man trying to make good of a difficult life. He played a supporting role opposite Jack Nicholson in As Good As It Gets (1997) and starred in Men of Honor (2000). 2003 saw him in Boat Trip, Radio, and The Fighting Temptations.
