Dave Holmes
Age: 75football coach at Eastern Washington (1963-67) and Hawaii (1968-73); holds both schools' record for winning percentage; resigned after 1973 season despite 9-2 record in a philosophical dispute with an alumni group; member of Hawaii's Circle of Honor; coached University High School in Seattle before retirement. He died of a heart attack during a fishing trip.
