The eight regional winners of the 48-team field: NORTHEAST— S. Connecticut St. (28-3); EAST— Salem (W.Va.)-Teikyo (27-2); SOUTH ATLANTIC— Elizabeth City (N.C.) St. (22-6); SOUTH— Lynn, FL (27-2); SOUTH CENTRAL— Texas A&M Commerce (24-7); GREAT LAKES— Northern Kentucky (28-4); NORTH CENTRAL— South Dakota St. (25-4); WEST— Cal St.-Bakersfield (26-4).

The Elite Eight was played March 19-22, at the Commonwealth Convention Center in Louisville, Ky. There was no Third Place game.
