Emmy Award-winning actor who played tough cop Frank Pembleton on the critically acclaimed series Homicide: Life on the Street (1993–98). Braugher has plenty of experience playing policemen, having played the recurring role of Det. Winston Blake in Kojak: None So Blind (1990), Kojak (1989), Kojak: Fatal Flaw (1989), and Kojak: Ariana (1989). He has appeared in several telefilms, such as The Tuskegee Airmen (1995), The Court Martial of Jackie Robinson (1990), and Murder in Mississippi (1990). On the big screen, he has played key roles in Glory (1989), Primal Fear (1996), Get on the Bus (1996), and City of Angels (1998). In 2000, he brought his portrayal of Frank Pembleton to the big screen in Homicide: The Movie. Returning to television, he starred in the short-lived Gideon's Crossing (2000) and with David Morse in Hack (2002–2004).
