Qusay Hussein,

second son of Saddam Hussein, was killed in July by U.S. troops after a fierce gunfight in Mosul. Qusay, Saddam's heir apparent, served as supervisor of the Republican Guard and the head of the powerful Iraqi Special Security Organization, which oversees domestic security and intelligence. Though less flamboyant than his father and brother Uday, Quasay was considered equally diabolical.
